Joseph Cirincione on a Successful US-Iran Nuclear Policy

Joe was with us on October 22.  Here's a video briefing of his views on the Iran crisis, for our viewers.

Joseph Cirincione spoke on Oct. 22nd in Philadelphia! One of the nation's leading experts on nuclear weapons, he spoke to the Downtown Club at 600 Chestnut Street, with a response by Craig Eisendrath.

Joseph Cirincione is the author of Bomb Scare, a history and analysis of the nuclear age, as well as of some solutions to the current nuclear dilemmas.

About Bomb Scare,Senator Sam Nunn, leader of the Nuclear Threat Initiative, has said:

Joseph Cirincione, one of our nation's top proliferation experts, issues a clear warning about today's nuclear threats, but also makes specific recommendations to address nuclear dangers—the most critical security issue facing our nation and the world.

Craig Eisendrath, after noting Cirincione's basic optimism, adds:

Nevertheless, he argues there is a real threat of nuclear terrorism, the US and Russia still have thousands of missiles on hair-trigger alert, there is the danger of new nuclear states, and the entire nonproliferation regime could collapse. His clear aim is to see to it that these contingencies do not become reality.
